Cowboy Jubilee Radio Show

Upcoming Events

Every Sunday evening at six turn the clock back to a time when being a cowboy was an occupation rather than a hobby.  The Cowboy Jubilee radio show has been keeping this way of life alive through western music, stories and poetry for over 13 years.  Bill McCallie hosts the show along with his sidekicks, Snuffy Hayes, Cactus Jack, and Franklin the Wonderdog.  Together the cast describes what life was like for those who made their home on the range.  You'll hear from artists like Gene Autry, Red Steagall, Jean Prescott, The Flying W Wranglers, R. W. Hampton, Sons of San Joaquin, Riders in the Sky, and many more.  The show airs on Classical 90.5 WSMC-FM in Chattanooga, TN Sunday evenings at 6:00.  Tune in on your radio or on WSMC's on-line web stream.

Every year the cast and crew of the show leave the comfort of the fire in the pot-bellied stove in the ole' bunkhouse and venture out to Ackerman Auditorium on the campus of Southern Adventist University to put on a live show.  The music begins at 5:30 and goes till 7:30 with the radio show running from 6:00 - 7:00.  Cactus Jack always mixes up a fresh batch of his famous "cat head biscuits" and there are plenty of door prizes too.  And the best part is, it's all free!  Watch for the Cowboy Jubilee Live show, coming this Fall.

Recordings of music played on the show can be found at the Western Jubilee Recording Company. Or at Varese Sarabande Records
